Infantino Switch 2-in-1 Cart Cover Review

Before receiving this cart cover for testing and review, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I looked at Infantino’s site at all the available cart covers they have. It looked like they all were pretty similar. They were cart covers that could also be used as a play mat on the floor. While I think this is a cool combination, I wasn’t sure it would work for us, as I know that our 16-month old son would never sit still and center enough to not touch the sides of the cart seat, which it didn’t look like it would protect.

I was thrilled to see that the Infantino Switch 2-in-1 Cart Cover and High Chair Cover covers all sides of the cart! Usually my husband and I go shopping together with our son, but since this is my first week not working out of the home (which means my first week being a stay-at-home mom!) it was just my son and I on this trip to the store. The other cart cover we have is a little annoying to put on one-handed so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. Well, it was super simple to put on one-handed and super fast too. I love that it comes with its own strap so that I don’t have to use the dirty one on the cart. The cover really does cover all of the cart and I love that there is Velcro on the sides to keep our child from pulling the sides off the cart. I do wish that there was also Velcro on the front of the cover though, so that our child couldn’t pull that off and expose the front of the cart. However, there is elastic and at least for the few trips we’ve used this cart cover on it worked pretty well at keeping the front on and covered. I like that there are 4 loops for toys to be connected to too. My all time favorite feature though has to be that you can roll it up into itself and use the strap as a carrying handle. In addition to being a great feature in theory, it is also an easy feature to use. I also was able to roll it up one handed, which was great. The other cart cover we have doesn’t roll up or anything and it didn’t even come with packaging we could re-use to store it in. So, it sits on the floor of the car, in its jumbled, bulky mess, in a plastic grocery bag, which just looks messy. With the Infantino Switch 2-in-1 Cart Cover we don’t have that problem. It is super simple to put on, use, take off and store, and the print is neutral enough for a boy or girl and also dark enough that it probably won’t show stains… should they happen.

And speaking of stains… this cart cover is also a high chair cover. We have only used it for this one time, but it seemed to work great. I have seen other cart covers that claim to double as a high chair covers and they are so bulky in the high chair… but the Infantino Switch 2-in-1 Cart Cover seems to lay nicely and work great.  Overall, this is a great cart and high chair cover!
